About the program
Kids Read and Walk brings stories outdoors at Blue Marsh Lake. On select Saturday mornings, families gather on the Dry Brooks Sensory Trail for stories, nature activities and more. The program is run by Bernville Area Community Library in partnership with Schuylkill Valley Community Library.
Each walk has its own theme. Themes across the fall include Read with a Ranger, Fall Leaves and Migration. The program is recommended for ages 2 to 8, and a grown-up comes along.
Meet at the Dry Brooks Sensory Trail at 1420 Palisades Drive in Leesport, in the Dry Brooks Day Use Area near Parking Lot D. Since the group walks and listens outside, dress for the weather and wear shoes that suit a trail. There is no charge to attend.
