About the class
Basic Wheel Throwing is an adult ceramics class at Clay on Main focused on the potter's wheel. Students get instruction in throwing forms such as cups, bowls, plates and vases, and can keep building on those skills as they go.
The class meets Friday evenings and is taught by Andrea Linn. If you would rather work by hand, that is welcome too: students who want to explore hand building or other clay techniques can do so in the same session. No previous experience is assumed, so it suits both first-time throwers and anyone wanting more time at the wheel.
Wear clothes you do not mind getting clay on, and expect to work with wet clay and tools. Registration is handled on the class page on the Clay on Main website, where you can also check the current session dates before you sign up.
