Holiday Wreath Class
Starts Sun, Nov 15, 1:00 PM · Daniel Boone Homestead Associate Members $45 and Non-Members $50

About the class
The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates host this hands-on wreath workshop led by Heritage Art and Craft Studio. Participants build a Williamsburg-inspired wreath on a 14-inch grapevine base, working with fresh pine, harvested herbs, dried apple slices, ribbon and other natural materials. You can follow the example set by the instructors or arrange your own design.
Along the way, the instructors talk about growing, harvesting and drying herbs, and about gathering natural materials for seasonal decorating. The finished wreath is yours to take home for indoor or outdoor holiday decor. All supplies are included, so there is nothing to bring.
Heritage Art and Craft Studio is co-owned by Greg Geesaman, who studies American history, gardening and environmental preservation, and Peggy Allen-Geesaman, a Berks County native who teaches art and traditional American crafts and belongs to the Historical Society of Early American Decoration. Registration is required and space is limited. Email thedanielboonehomestead@gmail.com to request a registration form, or see the event page for details. Proceeds support the Daniel Boone Homestead.
