Children and other readers can practice reading out loud to Cosmo, a certified therapy dog, who visits the Kutztown Community Library with his owner, Martha Johnson. Cosmo listens while you read, so there is no pressure and no correcting. It is a calm way to build reading confidence.
The program meets on the second Tuesday of each month, late morning into midday, in the children's loft. It follows right after Storytime, so families can stay on for both. All ages are welcome, from beginning readers to established ones, and anyone who would simply like a few quiet minutes with a good listener.
No registration is needed. Just come to the library at 70 Bieber Alley in Kutztown and bring a book you would like to read, or pick one out while you are there.
