About the workshop
A presenter in period clothing leads this workshop on farming and gardening in early America, from the Colonial 1700s through the 1800s. You will hear what rural families grew and harvested for trade, for profit and for plain survival, along with details about daily life and work on the farm.
After the talk, visitors are welcome to look over a display of antique farming tools. The program runs on a Saturday morning at the Township of Spring Administration Building, 2850 Windmill Rd, Sinking Spring, and is open to ages 14 and up. Adults are welcome with or without children.
Pre-registration is required, and each person attending must be registered individually. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian registered to attend with them. Sign up through the Spring Township Parks and Recreation registration page, then check your email in the days before the program for directions and any updates.
