About the workshop
Penn State Master Gardeners lead this workshop on getting yards and garden beds ready for a Pennsylvania winter. The talk covers ways to stretch the growing season, how to clean up organic matter with care, and steps that protect your soil through the cold months.
The session also looks at winter sowing and at what pollinators need over the winter, so you can plan your cleanup with them in mind. Bring your questions about your own beds and borders. Each person who attends goes home with a daffodil bulb.
The workshop meets Sunday afternoons at the Township of Spring Administration Building, 2850 Windmill Rd, Sinking Spring, and is open to ages 18 and up.
