About the workshop
Join ornithologists Peter and Jane Wolf to scan the skies above Blue Marsh Lake as raptors head south. Hawks, falcons and eagles may ride the air currents, sometimes passing directly overhead. The group learns about raptors and how to tell them apart in flight.
The program meets on a Saturday morning at the State Hill Boat Launch Overlook at Blue Marsh Lake. Bring binoculars. Dress for standing outdoors and watching the sky.
This is part of the Family Nature Series, which is open to adults with and without children. Pre-registration is required, and every person who plans to attend must be registered individually. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian registered to attend with them. Sign up through the Spring Township Parks and Recreation online registration page.
