About the workshop
Spring Township Parks & Recreation invites families to look up at the autumn night sky with members of the Berks County Amateur Astronomical Society. The group brings telescopes for a close look at the moon, planets and stars, with a chance to spot a galaxy as well. The program runs on a Friday evening from 6:30 to 7:30.
Everyone meets outdoors at Cacoosing Meadows Park, in the State Hill Road parking lot. Because the group gathers outside after dark, plan on dressing for the evening weather. The program is open to adults with or without children, and welcomes ages 3 and up.
Pre-registration is required and every person attending must be registered individually. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian who is also registered and attending. Sign up through the township's online registration system, and check your email in the days before the program for any updates or directions. There is no charge to take part.
