Night Walk Under the Beaver Moon
Starts Fri, Oct 23, 6:30 PM · Free · Ages 5 and up

About the workshop
A naturalist-led evening walk at Shiloh Hills Park, timed for the light of the Beaver Moon. Naturalist Kathy Grim leads the group outdoors after dark to take in the moonglow, listen for owls calling, and pick out well known stars and constellations. Along the way you learn how human eyes adjust to see in low light.
The walk runs on a Friday evening for about an hour and is open to ages 5 and up, so it suits families as well as adults on their own. Bring a flashlight, and expect to walk on rough and uneven ground in the dark. Shoes with good grip and clothing for the night air are a good idea.
Pre-registration is required through the Spring Township Parks and Recreation activity page, and every person attending must be registered individually. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian registered to attend with them. Check your email in the days before the walk, since the department sends updated details and directions to the meeting spot.
