Reading Theater Project: Live Play Reading and Talk-Back
Starts Sat, Nov 14, 12:00 PM · Free

About the class
The Reading Theater Project brings a live reading of an original play to the Wyomissing Public Library. After the reading, the playwright, director and actors stay for a talk-back with the audience, so you can ask about the script and how it came together.
The current selection is Behind the Iron Curtain: 1978, an original work by local playwright Eric Williams. Its scenes are set in the nations of the Warsaw Pact Organization: the USSR, Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. The scenes are arranged around an underlying story arc of shared experiences in a heavily surveilled authoritarian state.
The program is aimed at adults and runs at the library on Reading Boulevard. Registration is requested. You can sign up online or by calling the library at 610-374-2385.
