The Youth Chess Club at Wyomissing Public Library is for anyone who wants to play chess. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and new players are especially encouraged to come. Members play games and pick up new ideas from other players at the table.
Someone from the Million Youth Chess Club organization comes to the library to teach, so beginners can learn the pieces, the rules and basic strategy while more experienced players work on their game. Boards are set up at the library, so you can simply show up ready to play.
The club meets on Thursday afternoons, on the first, third and fifth Thursday of the month, at the library on Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing. There is no charge to take part. For questions about the club, contact the Wyomissing Public Library.
