Target

Target at 4220 N 5th Street Hwy in Temple, PA is a full-line retail store offering home goods, clothing, electronics, groceries and seasonal items. Shoppers often note the exclusive Hearth & Hand collection for home décor and niche offerings such as vegan foods.

Store Layout and Cleanliness (Positive)

Customers consistently describe the store as tidy and well-organized, with clear signage guiding them through departments. A clean layout enhances the shopping experience, making it easier to locate apparel, kitchenware and electronics sections.

Product Selection and Specialty Sections (Mixed)

Target’s core inventory covers apparel, home furnishings, basic groceries and electronics. The Hearth & Hand line receives particular praise for its design-focused décor pieces. At the same time, some customers report understocked shelves in specialty sections, including limited Variety in certain grocery items and seasonal décor.

Pricing, Discounts and Rewards (Mixed)

Competitive pricing, frequent sales and Target’s RedCard benefits are highlighted positively. However, shoppers express frustration with app-only discounts and inconsistent in-store signage pointing to current promotions. Those who use the RedCard find value in the 5% savings, but switching between paper coupons and digital offers can create confusion at checkout.

Checkout Wait Times and Pickup Services (Negative/Mixed)

Long lines and understaffed registers are the most common source of negative feedback, with customers citing extended wait times during peak hours. Curbside and in-store online order pickup receive mixed reviews: some appreciate the convenience and rapid turnaround when fully staffed, while others encounter slow response times and communication gaps regarding order status.

Staff and Customer Service (Mixed)

Interactions with floor associates vary by department. Many customers commend Dawn for her consistently warm and engaging assistance, Jesus for his thorough product knowledge, and Drew M in electronics for going the extra mile to locate hard-to-find items. Conversely, isolated incidents involving untrained or curt staff members have led to frustration and unmet expectations in select aisles.

Security and In-Store Atmosphere (Negative)

Several patrons report feeling unfairly targeted by security personnel or approached too aggressively by third-party vendors. These experiences detract from the otherwise orderly environment and have prompted calls for clearer security protocols and more discreet vendor practices.

Who Might Prefer This Location

Shoppers seeking a clean, well-stocked store with a strong home-décor selection—especially Hearth & Hand—are likely to enjoy Target at 4220 N 5th Street Hwy. Conclusion

Target in Temple delivers a broad array of retail categories, highlighted by organized displays and select standout staff members. While pricing and product variety are generally competitive, potential visitors should be aware of possible understaffing at registers, mixed curbside experiences and occasional security overreach. Overall, the store meets the needs of most general-merchandise shoppers, particularly home-décor enthusiasts, when timing a visit to avoid peak traffic.
