Plan the day
iFLY King of Prussia is an indoor skydiving center in King of Prussia, PA, where you float on a column of air in a vertical wind tunnel with an instructor at your side. Children can fly from age three.
It is the feeling of freefall without a plane or a parachute, and a first visit takes about 90 minutes: check in, a short training class, a flight suit and helmet, then 60 second flights with an instructor holding you steady in the tunnel. Children can fly from age three and the weight limit is 300 pounds, so the whole family can take a turn. It is indoors, so the weather does not matter.
Before you go
Book ahead; sessions sell out. Arrive 15 minutes early in lace-up sneakers and casual clothes, pockets empty, no jewelry or sandals, long hair tied low so the helmet fits. Restrictions apply in pregnancy and for some head, neck, back, shoulder or heart conditions. Flyers between 260 and 300 pounds may be evaluated at check-in.
