The Maryland Science Center is a hands-on science museum with a planetarium and IMAX theater at 601 Light Street on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD.
Three floors of exhibits: Dinosaur Mysteries, hands-on physics in Newton's Alley, a SciLab that runs about 13,000 DNA extraction experiments a year, and a Kids Room with a 1,000-gallon Chesapeake Bay water play area and a 60,000-pin wall. The planetarium and demo stage come with admission, and an IMAX documentary adds $5 at the ticket desk. Validated garages nearby charge $14 to $15 for the day.

Buy tickets online or at the desk. Three nearby garages validate: 414 Light Street (enter on Conway Street) $15 a day, Federal Garage at 11 E. Lee Street $14, Royal Sonesta Harbor Court (enter on Lee Street) $15; bring the garage ticket for a voucher. Street parking is limited.
