Plan the day
The Pride of the Susquehanna is a stern-driven paddlewheel riverboat that cruises the Susquehanna River from City Island in Harrisburg, PA, run by the nonprofit Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society.
The 45-minute public cruise is a narrated loop past the Capitol skyline and the river bridges from the deck of a paddlewheeler whose drive was built on site in 1987 and 1988; the society describes it as one of six authentic paddlewheel riverboats left in the country. Themed cruises add dinner, murder mysteries, jazz, craft beer tastings, princess and superhero days and Senior Mondays. Adults ride for $20, kids for $10 and military for free.
