The Amish Experience is a visitor center at Plain & Fancy Farm in Bird-in-Hand, PA, with a theater show, a replica Amish house and one-room school, and guided minibus tours through Amish farmland.

The 90-minute Farmlands Tour runs a 14-passenger minibus along the back roads with stops at Amish roadside stands, bake shops and quilt shops, and the Visit-in-Person tour calls at three Amish properties including a dairy farm. Jacob's Choice, the 35-minute theater show, plays on five projection screens, and the homestead tour shows daily life without electricity. Smokehouse BBQ, shops and buggy rides share the property.

Before you go

Online bookings carry no fees and refund up to 24 hours ahead; walk-ups are fine. Parking is free, with oversize spots on the west side of the lot. Farmlands Tours skip the Amish shop stops on Sundays. The theater has no stairs; the buses and homestead are not wheelchair accessible.
