Adirondack Thunder @ Reading Royals
February 9, 2027 · 10:30 AM · 700 Penn St · Designed for K-12 school groups; season members and the general public are also welcome

About the event
Morning hockey comes to downtown Reading as the Royals host the Adirondack Thunder, the ECHL club based in Glens Falls, New York, at Santander Arena. Both teams sit in the same league that feeds NHL rosters, so the pace on the ice is quick from the opening faceoff, with fast skating, hard shots, and the kind of end to end action that plays well in a full arena.
This is Education Day #2 on the Royals calendar, a game built for school groups. K-12 classes are invited for a field trip style visit where students take in professional hockey alongside STEM aligned learning materials covering math, science, geography, and more, and free bus parking is offered on Penn Street and around the arena. Teachers who want to bring a class can reach the Royals to reserve a spot, and early booking is recommended since space is limited.
While the day is designed with classrooms in mind, season members and the general public are welcome too, making it a good option for anyone who has a weekday morning free. Plan on about two and a half hours for a typical Education Day game, including intermissions.
Hosted by Reading Royals Hockey Club on BerksConnect.
