Binghamton Rumble Ponies @ Reading Fightin Phils
April 28, 2027 · 1950 Centre Ave, Reading
About the event
The Reading Fightin Phils welcome the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to FirstEnergy Stadium for an Eastern League matchup between two Double-A clubs. Reading is the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, while Binghamton is the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets, so both dugouts are filled with players working their way toward the big leagues.
The ballpark is a familiar landmark on Centre Avenue, and the Fightin Phils lean into the setting they call Baseballtown. The plaza behind home plate is paved with marble bricks marking the Reading Baseball Hall of Fame and the retired numbers of Ryne Sandberg, Mike Schmidt, Robin Roberts, Scott Rolen, and Jim Bunning. A train sign in right center field lights up after Reading home runs, and the pool pavilion in right field is a popular spot on warm afternoons.
Between innings there is usually something happening on the field or in the stands, with promotions running at a steady pace and a full team of mascots working the crowd alongside the in-game host. It makes for an easy outing for Berks County families, groups of friends, and anyone who wants to watch prospects up close.
Hosted by Reading Fightin Phils on BerksConnect.
