Binghamton Rumble Ponies @ Reading Fightin Phils
April 29, 2027 · 1950 Centre Ave

About the event
Double-A baseball returns to Baseballtown when the Binghamton Rumble Ponies visit the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. Reading is the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, a partnership that ranks among the longest in Minor League Baseball, while the Rumble Ponies play in the Eastern League as the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets and call Mirabito Stadium home.
Both clubs sit one step below the majors, so the rosters are stocked with players on their way up. Reading has hosted the professional debut of Mike Schmidt and later seasons from Scott Rolen, Ryne Sandberg, and Robin Roberts on their way to Cooperstown, and more recent fans watched Aaron Nola, Bryson Stott, and Ranger Suarez pass through on their way to Philadelphia. Binghamton's alumni list runs deep as well, including Pete Alonso, David Wright, Jacob deGrom, and Francisco Alvarez.
The ballpark itself is part of the appeal. FirstEnergy Stadium is the oldest park in use in the Eastern League, and every home game in Reading franchise history has been played at the same site. Expect the usual mix of ballpark food, between-inning fun with the team's mascots, and an easy evening out for families and longtime fans from across Berks County.
