Compagnie Hervé Koubi brings Sol Invictus to the Miller Center for the Arts, an evening-length work that blends contemporary dance, urban movement, capoeira, and martial arts into one continuous rush of motion. The company, founded by French Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi, draws on Mediterranean influences and street dance traditions, and its performers are known for flying leaps, spins, and lifts that make gravity look optional.

The title refers to the "invincible sun" of ancient Rome, and the piece carries that image forward as a celebration of light, solidarity, and the bonds between people. Koubi has described wanting to speak about those connections, and the choreography builds toward the idea that community holds us together even when the wider world feels fractured. The dancing unfolds against a score featuring music by Mikael Karlsson and Maxime Bodson alongside excerpts from Steve Reich.

The Miller Center sits on the RACC campus in downtown Reading. Free parking is available in the RACC flat student lots on a first-come, first-served basis, with Student Lot A on Front Street the closest flat lot to the venue, next to the Yocum Library at 30 South Front Street.
