Douglass Township's Parks and Recreation Board fills the township building parking lot with decorated vehicles for an evening of trick-or-treating in one spot. Costumed kids make their way from trunk to trunk collecting candy from local families, businesses, and community groups who put real care into their decorations.

There is plenty to do beyond the candy. Pumpkin decorating and bounce houses keep younger visitors busy, and the local fire departments stop by with their trucks. Before families head home, the Boy Scouts light a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Vendors are also part of the evening.

Admission is free. If the weather does not cooperate, the event moves to Thursday, October 22. Anyone who would like to decorate a trunk and hand out candy can pre-register a vehicle through the township.
