Weaver's Orchard opens its fall festival season with a full day on the farm at 40 Fruit Lane in Morgantown. Hayrides run through the property, the pumpkin patch and pick your own rows are open, and a viewing tower gives you a look out over the sunflower field. You can also visit the goats and chickens, browse the market for apples, pumpkins and seasonal gifts, and stop by Kim's Cafe.
Kids have plenty to keep them busy, including duck races, apple bobbing, pumpkin ring toss, bowling and tic tac toe, corn bins, a small hay bale maze, a hay bale ball pit and a hay bale tower play area with tunnels. An apple slingshot is available for an added fee.
Entertainment fills the day, starting with fall themed trivia hosted by Happy Chad in the morning, followed by balloon twisting from Balloonables at midday and live music from David Wilson and Keira O'Connor in the afternoon. Food trucks on site include Blue Kraken BBQ, Sammy's Fries, Comalli Tacos and Bop Hop Cotton Candy, with farm treats such as apple pie focaccia, apple cider lemonade, loaded chili, warm apple pie and apple cider slushie floats served with cider donuts.
