"Flavors of Fall" Wine & Cheese Train
Fri, Sep 18 · 42 Community Center Drive, Kempton

About the event
An evening on the rails through the Kempton countryside, paired with samples of wine and cheese from Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad puts this one on its fall special events lineup, and it makes an easy date night or a relaxed outing with a group of friends.
The line runs north from the Kempton station toward Wanamaker, passing forests, tree covered hills, a bridge over Ontelaunee Creek and the old time towns of Trexler and Wanamakers. The railroad is known as the Hawk Mountain Line for its closeness to the famous bird sanctuary, and the Hawk Mountain range rising to the east is a fine sight in autumn as the foliage turns, which makes a September ride worth settling in for.
The station sits at 42 Community Center Drive in Kempton, a short drive north of Interstate 78. Departure details for this ride are not posted online, so call the railroad at 610-756-6469 with any questions before you head out. Note that there are no restrooms aboard the train, so plan accordingly at the station.
Hosted by WK&S Railroad on BerksConnect.
