Hartford Yard Goats @ Reading Fightin Phils
April 14, 2027 · 1950 Centre Ave, Reading
About the event
Double-A baseball returns to Reading when the Hartford Yard Goats visit the Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. Both clubs play in the Eastern League's Northeast Division, and both send prospects a step or two from the majors: Reading is the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, while Hartford develops talent for the Colorado Rockies.
The ballpark hosted its first regular season game in 1951, and the brick exterior and arched entryways give it a classic feel that locals know as Baseballtown. The main gate on the first base side opens onto a plaza with concession stands and a performance stage, and the seating bowl looks out toward the eastern Pennsylvania hills beyond the outfield wall.
It is a straightforward night at the park for families, longtime R-Phils followers, and anyone curious about which names might turn up in Philadelphia or Denver down the road. Between innings there are contests on the field and mascots working the crowd, so newcomers to minor league baseball will find plenty going on beyond the box score.
Hosted by Reading Fightin Phils on BerksConnect.
