Hartford Yard Goats @ Reading Fightin Phils
April 15, 2027 · 1950 Centre Ave, Reading
About the event
The Reading Fightin Phils host the Hartford Yard Goats at FirstEnergy Stadium on April 15, 2027, for an early season Eastern League matchup. Reading is the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, a partnership that dates back to 1967 and ranks among the longest in Minor League Baseball. Hartford brings the Double-A club of the Colorado Rockies, whose alumni include big league names such as Kyle Freeland, Ryan McMahon and Ezequiel Tovar.
Double-A ball puts prospects on the cusp of the majors in front of a home crowd, so the lineups often feature players Phillies fans will be tracking for years. Reading and Hartford share the Eastern League's Northeast Division, which gives these meetings a familiar edge.
FirstEnergy Stadium opened in 1951 and keeps its throwback character through a brick exterior and arched entryways. The main gate on the first base side leads into a plaza with concession stands, a bar and a stage where the club's costumed Mascot Band turns up to play classic rock covers. Locals know the ballpark and the blocks around it as Baseballtown.
