Hartford Yard Goats @ Reading Fightin Phils
July 24, 2027 · 1950 Centre Ave

About the event
Double-A baseball returns to Reading when the Hartford Yard Goats visit the Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. Both clubs play in the Northeast Division of the Eastern League, so these are familiar rivals working through a long summer schedule together. Reading has served as the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies since 1967, which means the lineup is often stocked with prospects on their way up the Phillies system. Hartford brings talent from the Colorado Rockies organization, giving local fans a look at players from a second big league pipeline in the same afternoon or evening.
A game at FirstEnergy Stadium is built for a general audience as much as for the box score. The R-Phils keep a full cast of mascots on hand, including Screwball, Change-Up the Turtle, Blooper the Hound Dog, Quack the Duck, and Bucky the Beaver, and between-inning activity keeps younger fans engaged while the baseball plays out. Hartford travels with its own pair of goat mascots, Chompers and Chew Chew.
Bring the family, settle into the ballpark that Berks County fans know as Baseballtown, and watch a competitive Eastern League matchup close to home.
