About the event
Jim Dietrich Park turns spooky for the evening with two attractions running side by side. The hayride carries riders behind a tractor into the wooded stretch along the Schuylkill River, where the dark between the trees hides whatever is waiting to step out next. Bring a jacket and a willingness to jump.
The haunted barn is the second half of the night. Inside, dim hallways and a series of rooms are set up to keep you moving toward the exit a little faster than you planned. Food vendors are set up outside for anyone who needs a few minutes and something warm before heading back to the car.
Tickets are sold at the gate for the hayride, the barn, or both together, so you can pick one attraction or take on the pair. The last tickets go out at 9:30 PM, which is worth keeping in mind if you are driving in from elsewhere in Berks County. Good for teens, adults, and any younger visitors who like a scare.
Hosted by Muhlenberg Township on BerksConnect.
