Wyomissing's Movies in the Park series heads back to 1996 with a screening of Space Jam at Happy Hollow Playground. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest of the Tune Squad recruit Michael Jordan to face the Monstars, and the whole thing plays out on a big screen under the night sky.

The film moves fast, looks great and still lands its jokes for kids meeting it for the first time as well as anyone who grew up quoting it. Between the Looney Tunes energy and the basketball, it is an easy pick for a mixed-age crowd.

Showtime is 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 26 at 1100 Wayne Avenue. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks, arrive with enough time to claim a good patch of grass, and settle in for the evening.
