MSC Oktoberfest at Reading Liederkranz
Sun, Oct 11, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM · 143 Spook Ln, Reading · Half-price admission for Liederkranz members

About the event
The Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus bring their Oktoberfest to the Reading Liederkranz on Spook Lane, turning the club into a Sunday afternoon gathering of German food, music, and good company. The Sisters are based right here in Reading, and the afternoon doubles as a chance for neighbors to support their work.
The Josef Kroboth Band plays from 1 to 4 p.m. The Pennsylvania group specializes in traditional polkas, waltzes, and German, Austrian, Czech, Slovak, and Bohemian music, the kind of sound that fills a hall and gets a few people up from their seats.
The kitchen serves traditional German dishes alongside American favorites, so there is something familiar for younger eaters and anyone easing into schnitzel territory. A 50/50 door prize drawing and a basket raffle round out the afternoon. Doors are open from noon to 5 p.m., which leaves room to come for lunch, stay for a set, and still have your evening free.
Hosted by Reading Liederkranz on BerksConnect.
