Muhlenberg Township brings its Trunk or Treat together with the Fall Family Fun Fest at Jim Dietrich Park, giving kids a chance to go car to car for treats while the wider festival runs around them. Decorated trunks are hosted by neighbors and community volunteers, and residents who want to set up a trunk of their own can reach out to the township's Parks and Recreation office.
The afternoon is built around hands on fall activities. Plans include pumpkin painting, carnival games, scarecrow stuffing, and barrel train rides, along with a traditional hayride offered during this Saturday afternoon gathering. Light refreshments will be available on site.
Support comes from a mix of local groups, including the Leo Club, area Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, and the Muhlenberg Community Library, so there are plenty of friendly faces on hand. Costumes fit right in, and the park setting along Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road makes it an easy stop for families looking to mark the season close to home.
