The Oley Valley FFA Alumni Haunted Hike returns to Oley on Friday, October 16, running from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The evening starts gently with trick or treating from 5:00 to 6:30, so younger costumed visitors get their candy while there is still light in the sky.
At 7:00 the mood shifts and the hill opens for haunting, with the walk running until 9:30. Carnival games are set up all night for anyone who wants to keep the fun going between rounds, and food and drinks are available on site.
Organizers suggest closed toe shoes for everyone making the walk, and they ask that visitors leave strollers behind when possible given the terrain. It is a community fundraiser put on by the Oley Valley FFA Alumni, and a straightforward way to spend an October evening close to home.
