South Heidelberg Tree Lighting
Sun, Dec 6 · South Mountain Park, Wernersville · Free to residents

About the event
The township welcomes the holiday season at South Mountain Park with its annual tree lighting, a short evening gathering built around the moment the lights come on. It is one of the seasonal traditions South Heidelberg holds in the park's open green space, alongside the spring egg hunt and the fall festival.
The park sits just off Mountain Home Road in the Wernersville area, giving neighbors a central spot to meet up, greet friends, and watch the tree brighten together. Families with young children tend to make an early night of it, and the setting is easy to reach from Sinking Spring, Robesonia, and the surrounding villages.
The event is run by South Heidelberg Township Parks and Recreation and is free to attend. Dress for a December evening outdoors, since the gathering takes place on the park grounds. The township's Parks and Recreation page sets it by a standing rule: "Tree Lighting - First Sunday in December" at South Mountain Park, free to residents. In 2026 that is Sunday, December 6. The start time is posted on the township calendar closer to the date.
Hosted by South Heidelberg Township on BerksConnect.
