About the event
TRICH comes to the WCR Center for the Arts, a solo stage piece about living with trichotillomania. If the word is new to you, that is part of the point: the show explains it from the inside, through the eyes of a teenage girl carrying a secret that somehow no one around her seems to notice, hiding out in a basement cubicle and wondering whether anyone will come downstairs.
The storytelling moves between humor and candor, using comedy, a heap of 90s references, and moments of genuine openness to talk about mental health, isolation, and the work of finding a path toward recovery. It is a personal piece that keeps a light touch while treating its subject with care.
The WCR Center for the Arts sits at 140 N 5th Street in downtown Reading, an intimate setting well suited to a one-person show where the audience is close to the performance. Doors open on the evening of September 25, 2026, with the performance beginning at 7:00 PM.
