Trunk or Treat at the Mifflin YMCA

The Mifflin YMCA turns its parking lot into a Halloween stop for the whole neighborhood, with decorated car trunks lined up and candy handed out to costumed kids. Families can walk the row at their own pace, say hello to neighbors, and let little ones show off their costumes in a bright, supervised setting close to home.
This is one of several Trunk or Treat nights the YMCA of Reading and Berks County hosts across its branches, and activities vary from one location to the next. Costumes are encouraged for all ages, and there is no cost to attend.
The evening runs on community help. The Y welcomes families, coworkers, and groups of friends who want to decorate a trunk and greet trick or treaters, and it accepts donations of individually wrapped candy at any branch so every child leaves with a treat.
