TEEN Group Mentoring for Ages 13 and Older From Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County runs TEEN, a group mentoring program for young people ages 13 and older who are already clients of Big Brothers Big Sisters, whether they are matched with a Big or still waiting to be matched.
The program is designed to teach adult-life skills and to help teen Littles prepare for the decisions they will need to make after high school graduation. TEEN meets at least once a month, with Big Brothers and Big Sisters from the agency's COUL (Club of Unmatched Littles) and One-To-One programs helping out. It is described as a program for teens, run by teens: a peer-elected TEEN Executive Committee plans and coordinates the monthly events.
To take part, a teen has to already be part of Big Brothers Big Sisters. The page does not say how a teen signs up for TEEN, where the monthly meetings are held, or what it costs, so ask when you get in touch.
The agency's general contact is 303 Windsor St., Centre Park, Reading, PA 19601, phone (610) 373-5544, email coul@bigsinberks.org. The page does not list office hours.
