Self-Pay Recovery Housing From Easy Does It in Leesport

Easy Does It, Inc. keeps 10 supportive housing beds at its Leesport campus for Berks County residents in recovery from substance use disorder who pay their own housing fees. Residents live in a setting built around mutual respect, daily structure, and personal accountability, and the housing is combined with recovery support services so people can build a foundation for recovery, develop life skills, and work toward their own goals.

The 10 self-pay beds are for Berks County residents who meet the same criteria as the permanent supportive housing program, except that they have not experienced chronic homelessness and can afford to pay 3 months of housing fees. Those criteria are having a documentable disability such as substance use disorder, and/or a mental health diagnosis, or physical disability; being committed to recovery from addiction; having a need for supportive services; and, if involved in the criminal justice system, having only non-violent offenses.

Self-pay residents receive recovery support services, educational groups, and life skills work to build up their recovery capital for long term recovery. Every client works one-on-one with a certified recovery support specialist. You start with an assessment of needs and then build an individualized recovery plan with your specialist. Plans cover housing, education, employment, basic needs, substance abuse treatment, recovery, legal, mental health, physical health, family and social life, and life skills, with goals and action steps for every area of need. The life skills groups include daily meditation, Recovery 101, and other groups on topics such as interpersonal skills, job readiness, resume writing, health and wellness, anger management, boundaries, relapse prevention, spirituality, and mindfulness.

Easy Does It is at 1300 Hilltop Road, Leesport, PA 19533. The general number is 610-373-2463, and the contact page also has a form for general questions.
