Keep Your Home Foreclosure Help From Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Berks
Keep Your Home is the foreclosure prevention program at Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Berks, a HUD-approved housing counseling agency in Reading, for homeowners having trouble keeping up with their mortgage payments or who have received a notice from their lender asking them to make contact.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds free or very low cost housing counseling nationwide. If a firm claims it can stop your foreclosure immediately once you sign a document appointing it to act for you, you may be signing over the title to your property and becoming a renter in your own home. Never sign a legal document without reading and understanding all the terms and getting advice from an attorney, a trusted real estate professional or a HUD-approved housing counselor.
