Help Clearing a Criminal Record From MidPenn Legal Services
MidPenn Legal Services runs an Employment Law Project that helps people clear up criminal records through expungements, sealing records and pardons so that they can gain employment. The same project helps people overcome other barriers to employment, obtain unemployment compensation, and preserve the jobs they already have.
MidPenn is a non-profit, public interest law firm that provides free civil legal services to low-income residents and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in 18 counties in Central Pennsylvania. Its services are free to eligible individuals in civil cases. The page does not print the income limits or other rules for who counts as eligible, so ask when you call. Help is offered to people in Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Schuylkill and York Counties.

If you are a survivor of domestic or sexual violence, MidPenn's Legal Intervention for Victims and Empowerment project, known as LIVE, offers additional free legal representation in expungement as well as protection orders, family law and housing. The LIVE project operates in Berks, Blair, Clearfield, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Lancaster, Lebanon and Schuylkill Counties.
