NAMI Connection Peer Recovery Support Group for Adults
NAMI Berks County runs NAMI Connection, a peer recovery support group for adults 18 and over who experience mental health conditions. It offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope, and it is led by trained facilitators who are living in recovery themselves.
The group is for adults age 18 and over who experience mental health conditions. There is no cost. These groups are offered free of charge, as are all NAMI Programs.
Each meeting lasts 90 minutes. Groups are designed to connect, encourage, and support participants. The same group guidelines and principles of support apply for in-person meetings and online meetings.
The general NAMI Connection group meets:
- The 1st and 3rd Mondays, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, in person at 640 Walnut Street, Lower Level, Reading, PA 19601. This is the NAMI-Berks main office. There is a private parking lot, and after 5pm you do not need to pay the parking meter.
- The 3rd Monday, 12:00pm to 1:30pm, by Zoom only. Register for the online meeting through the registration link on namiberkspa.org/support-groups, which goes to us02web.zoom.us.
- The 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, in person at 1105 Berkshire Blvd, Suite 110, Wyomissing, PA 19610. This is Family Guidance Center's Office, with plenty of free parking and well lit.
An RSVP is not required for the in-person meetings. For the Zoom-only meeting you register online ahead of time.
