NAMI Berks Family Support Group for Loved Ones of People With Mental Illness

NAMI Berks County PA runs a free support group for adults who have a family member or loved one living with a mental health condition. It is a place to talk with other people in the same situation and get support, education and resources.

The group is open to adults age 18 and older who have a family member or loved one with a mental health condition. Meetings are free and confidential, as are all NAMI programs. Each NAMI support group is led by two NAMI-trained facilitators who are either family members or individuals in recovery themselves, and the same group guidelines and principles of support apply to in-person and online meetings.

There are two ways to attend:

  • In person the 2nd and 4th Wednesday, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, at 1105 Berkshire Blvd, Suite 110, Wyomissing, PA 19610. This is Family Guidance Center's Office, with plenty of free parking and well lit.
  • By Zoom only the 4th Monday of each month from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. For the Zoom group you register online through a link on namiberkspa.org/support-groups, which uses us02web.zoom.us.

An RSVP is not required. If you have a specific reason that you are unable to attend the in-person meeting, you can request to attend by Zoom online or by phone.

For questions about this group, call NAMI Berks County at 610-685-3000. The NAMI Berks office and education center is at 640 Walnut Street, Reading, PA 19601.
