Protecting Our Water: Working Together for a Healthier Environment
Starts Tue, Nov 17, 7:00 PM

About the class
This Alvernia University Seniors College presentation looks at stormwater and what communities can do about it. Kushal Adhikari, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Engineering, leads the hour and shares how Alvernia engineering students have worked with local communities to study and improve stormwater management.
The talk covers nature-based approaches such as rain gardens, constructed wetlands and other green infrastructure, and how small steps add up to healthier, more resilient neighborhoods. There is also time set aside for people in the audience to speak about stormwater where they live, so come with your own questions and observations.
The session runs Tuesday evening from 7 PM to 8 PM at The Highlands at Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Avenue, Wyomissing. It is offered for the Seniors College audience.
