Cognitive Cafe is a group activity offered by Centro Hispano Daniel Torres as part of its senior center program for adults age 60 and up. Members come together in the early afternoon for a shared activity in a social setting, so the time is as much about company as it is about the activity itself.
The group is one piece of a larger senior program built to counter the effects of isolation. Alongside group activities, the center offers individual case management, health classes, computer classes, exercise sessions and culturally appropriate daily meals. Funding comes through the County Area Agency on Aging.
The group meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. The senior center is open weekdays during business hours, and staff can answer questions about joining and about the other services available. To sign up or learn more, contact Centro Hispano Daniel Torres at 610-685-1265.
