About the program
Cuentos is a club for older adults run by Centro Hispano Daniel Torres. The Spanish word cuentos means stories, and the group gathers on Thursday mornings to spend time together.
The club is one of the group activities offered through Mama Angie's Casa de la Amistad Senior Center, which brings older adults together for activities, classes, wellness and exercise, and daily meals. The center takes a holistic approach and works to prevent the physical and psychological effects of isolation. Activities are offered in a culturally familiar setting, so Spanish speakers are at home here.
