Water Color Class
$50.00

About the class
Clay on Main runs this watercolor class for people who are new to the medium or have some experience already. The instructor covers paints, brushes and paper, then moves into composition, color mixing, brush technique, water control and flow, and special effects you can get with items you likely already have at home.
There are small skill-building projects to work through, and students are encouraged to bring their own ideas about what they want to paint. Instruction is individual, so you get help finding the techniques that give you the look you are after.
Bring your own supplies: a block or pad of watercolor paper at 140lb or heavier in a size such as 9x12 or 11x14, watercolor paints in tubes or pans with an assortment of six to twelve colors, a plastic or ceramic mixing palette, a large flat brush plus two or three round brushes in different sizes, a pencil and a soft eraser. The instructor brings some supplies for demonstrations and explains tools at the first meeting, so beginners may want to wait before buying. Paper is available for purchase at the studio. Register through the Clay on Main class page.
