About the workshop
Paint a bat scene on a 16 by 20 inch canvas that glows under blacklight. Laela leads the class step by step, so you do not need painting experience. Painters of any age are welcome, and the studio recommends this design for ages 9 and up. All ages classes often bring together kids and grown ups, so adults should feel free to take a seat and paint too.
The studio uses non toxic acrylic paint, which does stain fabric. Aprons are provided, but wear clothes you would not mind getting a little paint on. Plan to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to check in, get smocked and settle in. Latecomers may not be able to paint. You can bring your own snacks and drinks, and this is a bring your own bottle studio, so alcohol may be present and you must be 21 or over to drink it. Cups are provided, but bring your own ice.
Upgrades can be added when you reserve, including glitter and a do it yourself scented soy wax candle, which asks you to come 30 minutes early. If you are booking separately from friends, note your group's name in the special request box and the studio will seat you together. Reserve your seat online through the studio's event page.
