Starts Fri, Nov 20, 1:00 PM · Free

About the program
Painter Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso visits The Reading Public Museum for an artist talk as part of the Senior Series. The Senior Series is a senior-friendly program that goes behind the scenes of the exhibits at the Museum, and it runs on the fourth Friday of the month, with occasional exceptions. Documentaries in the series are shown in the Neag Planetarium.
Dellosso is a narrative realist painter known for homage self-portraits dedicated to historical women artists. Her work has appeared in solo museum exhibitions in the United States and abroad and is held in many public collections. Storytelling and the re-engagement of women artists across history form the foundation of her long-running Homage series. She is represented by Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Florida, taught painting and drawing at the National Academy School of Fine Arts, and now teaches at the New York School of the Arts.
The talk is aimed at older adults, and guests of all ages are welcome. The program takes place at the Museum, 500 Museum Road in Reading. Visit the Museum's event page for this talk to sign up or to check details before you go.
