If you're not cooking this Thanksgiving, you can still sit down to a turkey dinner in Berks County or pick one up cooked, but the places that take reservations fill fast, and two were already full by the first week of November. Below are three buffets and three restaurants, all booked ahead, a diner that doesn't close, and a dinner to go (a cooked meal you pick up in the two days before). The restaurants in Berks County page lists the county's restaurants with hours, phone numbers and reviews; this post is about who's serving on the day.

This is a list, not a ranking: every place on it has posted its Thanksgiving offer, the eight on their own sites and the rest on a running local list, and nobody paid for a spot. The offers are as each place posted them as of early November 2026, and menus, prices and seatings change, so confirm when you book.

Cheers Bistro at the DoubleTree, the dinner buffet with two seatings in downtown Reading.

The DoubleTree by Hilton at 701 Penn Street serves its Thanksgiving dinner buffet on Thursday, November 26, and the booking runs through Cheers American Bistro, its restaurant. There are two seatings, which just means two blocks of times: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Adults 13 to 61 pay $55, seniors 62 and up $48, kids 6 to 12 $25, and children 5 and under eat free. Parking is validated. The page doesn't say whether tax or gratuity is added to those prices. Book through the "Learn More & Buy Tickets" button on Cheers' events page, which opens an OpenTable booking.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort, the Thanksgiving buffet near Macungie.

Bear Creek, inside Berks County with a Macungie mailing address, serves its Thanksgiving Day buffet on Thursday, November 26 from 11 a.m., with the last seating at 3 p.m. Adults are $65, kids 6 to 12 are $20, and kids 5 and under are free. Reservations are required, by calling The Grille at 610-641-7149, and a party of 8 or more puts down a $100 non-refundable deposit. Its page doesn't say whether tax or gratuity is added.

Reading Country Club, the Grand Ballroom buffet just east of Reading.

The club serves its Thanksgiving buffet in the Grand Ballroom on November 26 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and its restaurant, Jack's on the Green, takes the reservations: seatings every 15 minutes for parties of up to 20, with a confirmation call the week before. The page gives the buffet's hours, not the last seating time, so ask that and the price when you book through the "Book Your Reservation" banner on the club's site. Cancel at least a week ahead, or a 50 percent cancellation fee applies, billed to the card on file.

Inn on Main, Thanksgiving dinner in Oley from 11 to 5.

The Inn on Main serves a Thanksgiving Day feast on Thursday, November 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and its calendar invites you to bring friends and family. That calendar entry is all its site says, so the call settles whether it's a buffet or a table dinner, how late it seats, and the price.

Christine's Creekside Inn, Thanksgiving dinner in Birdsboro from 1 to 4.

Christine's serves Thanksgiving dinner from 1:00 to 4:00 and asks you to make your reservation now, because it gets booked early for the holiday. No menu or price is posted, so you'll hear both when you call.

Exeter Family Restaurant, the diner that's open 24 hours on Thanksgiving.

Exeter Family Restaurant is open 24 hours a day, every day except Christmas Day, so Thanksgiving is covered, with the regular diner menu and no reservation to make. If every buffet is full, it's there at any hour.

Anthony's Trattoria, Thanksgiving reservations in Reading.

Anthony's Trattoria is taking reservations for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and asks you to book early. The Thanksgiving menu, hours and price aren't posted yet, so the call that books the table gets you those.

Fisher's Bar-B-Que, the Thanksgiving dinner to go in Wyomissing.

Fisher's, inside the PA Dutch Farmers Market, is taking Thanksgiving orders now by phone at 610-374-3300. Its Thanksgiving-week hours are Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25, 9 to 6, closed Thanksgiving Day, then Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 4. The meal for 6 is $110 and comes with a small turkey, 6 pounds of sides and a quart of gravy; the meal for 10 is $145 and the meal for 15 is $175.

Or build your own: cooked turkeys are $7.95 a pound by cooked weight, turkey breast $10.95 a pound, gravy $3.50 a pint or $6.00 a quart, and sides $5.89 a pound, including potato filling (the Pennsylvania Dutch bread-and-potato stuffing). The menu doesn't say whether the meal is handed over hot or cold for reheating, so ask when you order. Sales tax is added, and Fisher's hasn't posted an order deadline, so order this week.

Two Thanksgiving dinners that filled up early.

How early is early? Two places answer that. Stokesay Castle in Reading posted its Thanksgiving buffet for Thursday, November 26 at $55 for adults, $25 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under, plus 20% gratuity and 6% tax, and it sold out by the first week of November.

Dans at Green Hills, on Morgantown Road in Reading, is serving a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 7:30, priced by the entrée: $75 for the farmhouse turkey dinner, $90 for filet mignon, rack of lamb or twin crab cakes. Its reservation times are full and it's keeping a waiting list, and its card below has the phone number. So if you want one of the places above, call this week, not next.

Wednesday, November 25 has a few things going on. Adler Brewing Company in Reading has a Thanksgiving Eve party with details to be announced. Schaylor Brewing Company - Reading, PA in Shillington spends Wednesday on its ninth-birthday festivities, closes Thanksgiving Day and returns Friday with a Black Friday brunch at 11 a.m. Kauffman's Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Bethel serves stuffed cabbage Wednesday and Friday while supplies last and is closed Thursday. It's also pickup day: Fisher's is open 9 to 6.
