BB's Grocery Outlet, LP

BB’s Grocery Outlet, LP at 150 Morview Blvd in Morgantown, PA operates as a deep-discount grocery and general merchandise retailer. The store specializes in selling overstocked, short-dated, and seasonal items from major brands, allowing customers to purchase groceries, produce, dairy, and select non-food products at substantially reduced prices.

Products and Pricing

Customers consistently cite significant savings on name-brand groceries and household items, often reporting discounts far below traditional supermarket prices. Fresh produce and vegetables receive particular praise for both quality and value, making this category a major draw. The cheese selection also stands out, with reviewers noting a wide variety of cuts and brands at rock-bottom prices. Beyond groceries, shoppers find unexpected deals on clothing, especially Target’s kids’ apparel, providing additional perks beyond standard food offerings.

Shopping Environment

Shoppers describe the inventory mix as constantly changing, which creates a “treasure-hunt” shopping experience. This ever-rotating stock of close-out deals and surprise finds keeps regular customers engaged and returning frequently. However, this format also introduces some variability: customers must carefully check “sell-by” and “use-by” dates, as certain items arrive close to or past expiration. While many products remain fresh and usable, diligence is required to avoid spoilage.

Store Cleanliness and Organization

Reviews on store upkeep are mixed. Some patrons praise well-stocked aisles and tidy shelves, noting the store’s ability to maintain order despite high turnover of goods. Others report disorganized shelving, occasional spills, and dusty or unsanitary areas, suggesting that cleanliness standards can vary depending on the time of visit and staffing levels.

Customer Traffic and Layout

High foot traffic is a common concern. During peak shopping hours, narrow aisles can become congested, leading to slower checkout times and a cramped shopping experience. Potential customers should anticipate busy periods and consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more comfortable browse.

Staff and Service

The store’s staff receives consistently positive remarks for friendliness, speed, and helpfulness. Employees are frequently described as approachable and willing to assist with locating items or answering questions about deals and expiration dates. This level of service often offsets the challenges posed by crowded aisles and mixed organization.

Considerations for Shoppers

BB’s Grocery Outlet appeals to budget-conscious shoppers comfortable with a discount-warehouse format and open to inspecting product dates. Those seeking reliable produce and bargain cheeses will find ample value, while deal- hunters enjoy the unpredictability of new arrivals. Shoppers who prioritize a neatly organized store or wide, open aisles may encounter intermittent frustration during peak times. Overall, BB’s Grocery Outlet delivers substantial savings and a unique shopping adventure for customers willing to navigate its treasure-hunt style environment.
