Gochenauer Pet Resort

Nestled in the heart of Lititz, PA, Gochenauer Pet Resort is your premier destination for pet boarding services, dog day care, kennel accommodations, and professional pet grooming. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, need a safe place for your pup while you work, or want to treat your furry friend to a spa day, our resort-style facility combines the comforts of home with the attentive care and expertise you expect.

A Home Away From Home

From the moment your dog or cat steps through our doors, they’re greeted by name—just as Lou, our happy lab mix, is—and ushered into a warm, clean environment that feels like a true “home away from home.” Our guests’ tails start wagging as soon as they catch sight of our play yards and cozy kennel suites. Many of our regulars, like Carmelo and the family bernedoodle puppy, simply can’t wait to return. With supervised indoor and outdoor playgroups, gentle socialization, and plenty of cuddle time, we make sure every pet enjoys a comfortable, stimulating stay.

Services Tailored to Your Pet’s Needs

• Overnight Boarding: Spacious, climate-controlled kennels, personal bedding options, and nightly tuck-ins.
• Dog Day Care: Structured play sessions, rest areas for naptime, and enrichment activities to keep minds and paws busy.
• Pet Grooming: From nail trims and ear cleaning to breed-specific cuts, our talented stylists deliver a spotless finish—complete with a personalized grooming report card so you know exactly what services your pet received.
• “Pawspa” Day Packages: Indulge your pet with a themed spa experience, where they’ll emerge looking—and smelling—absolutely fabulous.

Exceptional Staff & Personal Touches

At Gochenauer Pet Resort, our greatest asset is our team. You’ll immediately notice the warmth and professionalism of our front-desk staff—who truly adore each furry guest—and our skilled caregivers on the floor. Sam C., for example, is a shining star whose expertise with reactive or anxious dogs has earned her glowing praise: “She’s extremely knowledgeable and simply incredible with dogs.” Beyond daily care, we believe in thoughtful touches that set us apart: a handwritten sympathy card sent to grieving pet parents, or a quick update email when your pup’s ears need extra TLC.

Cleanliness, Health & Safety

We know that a spotless environment is at the heart of good pet care, which is why our facility undergoes rigorous daily cleaning and sanitization protocols. Many guests note our spotless playrooms and comfortable sleeping nooks, but when concerns do arise—such as unexpected odors—we respond immediately with deep-cleaning measures and open communication. In light of occasional kennel cough reports, we continuously refine our disease-prevention strategies and vaccination checks to keep every pet as healthy as possible. Your pet’s well-being is our top priority.

Communication You Can Count On

We understand how important it is to stay connected while you’re away. That’s why we offer proactive updates on your pet’s health, behavior, and fun photo highlights throughout their stay. Whether it’s an emailed note about an ear check, a quick phone call to share how your dog’s making new friends, or a text with a snapshot of a playful pup splashing in the wading pools, we keep you in the loop. As one happy owner put it: “We particularly appreciate the excellent communication we have with them.”

Pet Enjoyment & Comfort

Our mission is simple: make every pet feel cherished. From supervised group play that fosters social skills, to quiet, cozy corners for pets who need a break, we tailor each day to match individual energy levels and preferences. Clients often tell us their dogs come home tired, happy, and smelling great—ready for sweet dreams of another fun-filled stay.

Transparent Pricing & Exceptional Value

We strive to keep our rates competitive and straightforward, with clear base fees and any optional add-ons—like gourmet meal upgrades or extended spa treatments—detailed upfront. Many clients applaud our value, calling us “the best price per night in Lancaster,” while others find our premium offerings, such as individualized grooming and specialized care from our senior staff, well worth the slight investment.
