14th Annual Night at the Museum
September 19, 2026 · 6:00 PM · The Reading Public Museum, 500 Museum Road, Reading

About the event
The Reading Public Museum hosts its signature fundraising evening, timed to open the fall exhibition season with the debut of Rockwell/Wyeth: Icons of Americana. The show brings together work by two figures whose illustrations shaped how Americans pictured themselves through the 20th century, from Saturday Evening Post covers to scenes that still feel familiar generations later.
Taking its cue from those images, the night turns into a 1940s and 50s celebration. Guests can expect all American food stations, an open bar, live music, antique cars on hand, a silent auction, and activities drawn from the postwar era of neighborhood gatherings and the golden age of American illustration.
Vintage inspired attire is part of the fun, whether that means a tea length cocktail dress and period accessories or a sport coat, suspenders, fedora, or bow tie. Dressing the part is encouraged rather than expected, so come however feels comfortable and festive and enjoy an evening among the galleries.
Hosted by Reading Public Museum on BerksConnect.
